Who we are

It all started with 7 sheep, 6 ducks, 5 chickens, 3 cats, 2 horses and a dog... and the people who own them.

Kia Ora,

My name is Eden and I am the founder of Tails and Tinctures.  β€‹8 years ago I followed my love of animals into receiving my Certificate in Animal Technology (Strand in Veterinary Nursing Assistant) Level 5 through Toi Ohomai.  A couple years later this was followed by receiving an additional Level 3 Certificate in Equine Knowledge through Southern Institute of Technology.

Skip a few years, add in a husband, daughter, 7 sheep, 6 ducks, 5 chickens, 3 cats, 2 horses and a dog... and here we are.

In 2020 my daughter Willow was born with a rare genetic condition that, on top of my own health issues, at the time had me putting working in the animal industry on hold. Whilst it was an unexpected part of my journey it has been a great reminder of the importance of complementary care and getting in front of things before they become issues (also how alternative forms of enrichment are desperately needed for animals when you aren't able to constantly be available for them... and lets be honest who is?)

Now four years later I am lucky enough to be in the position to restart my journey in the work force. Wanting to combine my passion for animals and renewed knowledge of the importance of natural supportive care and enrichment I finally settled on starting Tails and Tinctures.

Tails and Tinctures provides a variety of enrichment and supportive care products for all your fur family, inside and out.
